One thing I absolutely love about How to Train Your Dragon that they’ve done brilliantly throughout all 3 movies are the parallels between them. Take this:

In How to Train Your Dragon, Toothless saves Hiccup. (Most of him anyways.)

In How to Train Your Dragon 2, Hiccup saves Toothless.

In The Hidden World, Hiccup saves himself, by removing the thing that connected them more than anything else. And the Light Fury saves Toothless.

And Hiccup watching things he loves leave to sea:
